HOW THE CHECK WORKS

Methodology

BTCHEIR is a readiness screen, not a security audit or legal opinion. It looks for broken links in a Bitcoin inheritance handoff.

01

Five dimensions

The 10 questions cover legal intent, asset discovery, recovery mapping, heir readiness, and plan maintenance. Each dimension receives equal weight because a complete failure in any one can stop the handoff.

02

Scoring

Each answer receives 0, 1, or 2 points. The result is normalized to 100. A lower score identifies work to do; it does not predict whether funds will be recovered or whether a plan is legally valid.

03

Action priorities

The three lowest-scoring dimensions become the first action list. The recommendations stay deliberately general so no wallet configuration or personal facts need to leave your device.

04

Limitations

The screen does not test real backups, signatures, legal documents, service availability, or the competence of helpers. Use small or no-value drills and qualified local advice to validate the real plan.
